What is your Fall preparation plan?

As we enter into this season of Fall, everything around us reminds us that change is happening and we need to prepare. We are in preparation for a colder season, preparing for the harvest time, and preparing ourselves for early nights. Today, we experience this time of change because the school year has begun and we get our kids ready to let go of the summer and get ready to move into a more regular routine to encourage their learning. This thought has lead me to be motivated to write a short book for my grandson. So in preparation, I will be researching the best ways to write a story utilizing the academic requirements or resources for reading that will support him on his educational journey. I have realized that there are great resources available online to find site words that are important for your childs reading skills at each level. So today I will begin my book preparation with the first 40 pre-K words (a, and, away, big, blue, can, come, down, find, for, funny, help, here, I, in, is, it, jump, little, look, make, me, my, not, one, play, red, run, said, see, the, three, to, two, up, we, where, yellow, you). I am planning to write a little book about a week, and all the things we see in our daily lives around us here in Santa Barbara and sharing a little cultural information for him so he will remember all that his Ne’ne taught him when he was little. I hope he will share it with my great grandchildren too. Let me know if you would like to join me in being creative and writing your stories down for your family, I would love to hear your thoughts.

How will you be honoring the Fall?
